Operating principle:

The Hall effect sensor delivers an output an tension generated by a magnetic field. This magnetic field is produced by two magnets installed on the crown of the coffee mill. Each turn of the mill, the sensor records two pulses.

The frequency thus produced is measured, as well as the current consumption of the mill. These two parameters are subject to a software algorithm which can thus know precisely the amount of coffee that passes in the mill.
